Men in Black is a great movie, featuring Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, and Rip Torn. In this blockbuster, Tommy Lee Jones needs a new partner to protect the world and monitor alien activity. Will Smith becomes that partner. As partners, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones protect New York City and the world from an emergency where aliens try to take over the planet. Men in Black is not only available on DVD, but a special edition DVD and Blu-Ray disk. The Blu-ray disk is packed with extras, so one can see more footage and making of material. The quality of the Blu-ray version is good, although not as sharp as some recent Blu-ray movies.
This is an excellent movie, now a classic!
Inception was an excellent movie. This isn't something we thought the first time we saw it. This is something, like some other movies, it took multiple viewings to see. This movie is a great combination of drama and adventure. It brings the viewer deep into the story and for those wanting to have a brief relaxing escape from life in a terrific action adventure story, this fits that. It is a long movie, traveling through layers of dreams while also incorporating reality. A must-see.
From previews, Up seemed like it would be just an average movie. But, upon watching this masterpiece more than once, it was a masterpiece! In this movie, Pixar has two older characters and the man loses the woman in the beginning. After that, he is sad but meets a young ambitious boy in search of a medal. Throughout the movie, both he and the boy grow together. As his house floats to amazing lands, they encounter interesting animals with special skills, an adventurer that is full of surprises, and much more. In the end, there are many life lessons in this movie for all. The lessons go beyond just respect people of other ages, and into relationships and losing a loved one where life can go on. This is a wonderful movie!
Basic, starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, is a drama / thriller with qute a few clever surprises. Ranger recruits go through a complex series of events and it is John Travolta's job to find out what happened in the Panama rainforests. The first movie, Die Hard, released in 1988, stood out and set the bar for many future action movies. Bruce Willis is a police officer who on his own takes on a team of bad guys throughout the movie in a tall office building.
The second movie, Die Hard 2 - Die Harder, is the 1990 sequel to Die Hard. It takes place in and near an airport while planes are waiting to land. This movie was as good as the first Die Hard movie in our opinion. It is action packed.
The third movie, Die Hard with a Vengeance, is a 1995 release that takes place in New York City. This third movie in the series is about bad guys who are looking to steal gold from the Federal Reserve. In the movie, Bruce Wilis teams up with Samuel L. Jackson for an action packed trip around New York City looking for clues, puzzle pieces, and bad guys.
The fourth movie, Live Free or Die Hard, was released in 2007. This movie takes the Die Hard series into the future, with computer hackers, a fire sale, quite a lot of action, plus comedy.
